This past year at Parkinson Wellness Projects has been one of meaningful growth and deepened connection.
PWP is growing! With more people accessing our programs, we’re doing our best to keep up with demand. And your voice can help shape how we serve the Parkinson’s community moving forward. If you have ideas, requests, or feedback, I’d love to hear them.
A recent highlight was the Douglas Mile—what a joyful and inspiring morning! Thank you to everyone who helped us fundraise over $100,000—all while walking, connecting, and raising awareness about PD. As we look ahead, we remain committed to community, connection, and compassionate care. Whether you're new to PWP or a long-time participant, we're here for you.
We’re counting the days until we can see you again, but we’re going to have to wait a little bit longer than we’d hoped.
We have wonderful news for our PWP community. Parkinson Wellness Projects are delighted to welcome Dr. Linda Franchi as our new Parkinson’s Community Counsellor.
We’re coming into our final week of Race the Moon, and we’ve had a wonderful time getting out, enjoying the fresh air, and pitting ourselves against the Moon. While we haven’t caught up, PWP has covered a combined 1,832 miles already, enough to cross from Victoria, BC to Sault Ste. Marie, ON!
Welcome to April! The trees are blossoming, the weather is growing lovelier, and here at Parkinson Wellness Projects we are buzzing with new activity. We’ve recently passed 100 regular weekly participants, with more assessments every week, and we’re looking forward to continuing to expand as the summer progresses with an exciting new partnership.
Happy spring from Parkinson Wellness Projects! After a long winter, we’re all looking forward to getting out into the sun and taking advantage of the warming weather. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to open our in-person classes quite yet, but we’re looking ahead to doing so in the near future, and we’ve got a lot on our plates in the meantime.
