We’re thrilled to be back (again) in person at our Blanshard Street facility, offering a range of classes including Dance for Parkinson’s, Yoga, Functional Fitness, and Tai Chi, as well as our signature PWPFIT! classes and Fundamentals of Functional Movement.
Are there other classes you want to see in person? Let us know! We hope to have the pandemic in our rearview mirror eventually and look forward to hosting more classes in the gym.
Please contact PWP at 250-360-6800 or email us at info@parkinsonwellness.ca if you would like an assessment to join our classes.
We are pleased to announce a new rotation of art showcasing the creative side of PWP participants, as well as offerings from visiting artists. The show will run through March and features works by PWP’s own Magdalene van der Kamp, and Joy Pierson as well as local artists Myra Baynton, and Rhoda Brodie-Smith.
Participating artists are generously donating 50% of all sales to PWP. If you are interested in purchasing any of these beautiful pieces, or would like information on showcasing your own art, please contact Joan Head at head_675@hotmail.com.
Please feel free to stop by for a tour of the centre and the art exhibition.

Parkinson's In The News
More Berries, Red Wine in Diet Might Slow Parkinson's: According to researchers, people with Parkinson's who eat three or more servings per week of foods high in antioxidants called flavonoids may reduce their odds of dying early compared with people who do not eat as many flavonoid-rich foods.
