In Greater Victoria, there are an estimated 1,200 people with Parkinson’s disease; a total that is projected to double by 2031. Almost all of those in the Parkinson’s community are seniors, and half of all those in the community are affected by social isolation, depression, and apathy.

Your monthly contribution can bring hope, comfort, and a brighter future to those affected by Parkinson's disease — every month.

Give people care and hope every month.

PWP provides specific, evidence-based exercise classes for people with PD that focus on functional movement, balance, strength, endurance and cognition.

These programs help PWP’s participants maintain or improve their ability to perform daily tasks, and remain independent and active. PWP’s exercise classes are also great opportunities for participants to meet others at different stages of their Parkinson’s journey, offer advice and support one another.

Our programs and services are funded by donations and grants. Join our monthly giving community, and you’ll empower people with Parkinson’s disease and their families every month.

Join the community supporting 700+ people every month

When you give to Parkinson Wellness Projects, 100% of your donation goes directly to funding exercise, education, and counselling programs for the Parkinson’s community on Vancouver Island. We won’t stop people from joining just because they can’t afford it. But we need our monthly giving community to do this.

Our programs and services are offered on a sliding scale to our participants and their care partners. We are determined to reduce barriers to wellness by keeping our fees accessible to those who need it.

Our monthly donors are essential to our operations. We count on monthly gifts to fill in any funding gaps that may arise. Your recurring contribution ensures a sustainable foundation for our efforts, allowing us to plan long-term initiatives and make a lasting difference.

Meet the community changing lives.

PWP’s monthly donors are generous, passionate, and determined people — like you — from all across Canada and the United States. By making a monthly commitment, you join a community of compassionate individuals dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by Parkinson's disease.

“I’m a giver. I feel if they are going to do something for me, I should do something for them.”

Velma F.

“I chose to donate to PWP on a monthly basis for the convenience. I also know the funds are going where they are needed, and I have been able to try various of the programs offered without hassle.”

Christina A.

“Monthly donations allow PWP to see the extent of income they can count on. This enables PWP to plan classes and hire instructors for future needs.”
