Grant Appreciations—Thank you to the Victoria Foundation and the Rotary Club of Victoria-Harbourside
As Parkinson Wellness Projects continues to grow, we look to the community for support and are immensely grateful when the call is answered!
PWP is thankful to have received a grant from both the Victoria Foundation and the Rotary Club of Victoria-Harbourside. The funding provided to us has helped us come a long way, and it will help us continue to make massive strides in the future. The Victoria Foundation grant will help us to continue to offer a wide range of evidence-based exercise classes, one-on-one assessments, educational seminars, support groups, and counselling. The Rotary Club grant is specifically dedicated to our valuable counselling services. Our Parkinson's Community Counsellor, Dr. Linda Franchi, dedicates her time to one-on-one and group sessions for people with Parkinson's, their care partners and families. Dr. Franchi also co-facilitates a five-week newly diagnosed educational series, helps with support groups, and presents on other educational topics.
A huge thank you, again, to the Victoria Foundation, and the Rotary Club of Victoria-Harbourside!

Shaking The Rock—Alf Todd’s Annual Fundraiser for Parkinson’s Wellness Projects
Saturday, August 27
Alf is a motivated, no-nonsense, go-getter who believes in living to the fullest. He holds an annual bike ride to raise funds for Parkinson Wellness Projects (PWP).
Here's a message from Alf:
“There are only three weeks left for everyone to get those butts in shape for the annual Alf Todd fundraiser for Parkinson’s. This year will be the sixth year for the ride. One BIG difference this year: Ouch, yes, e-bikes are welcome. There, I said it! The ride will take place August 27 and will be approximately 100 km. Registration will be $50 and all donations will go to PWP. The ride will begin and end at PWP. The ride will begin and end at PWP. This ride is a FUNDRAISER and not just a social bike ride. That means that all the riders are expected to FUND RAISE. We all have friends and family who would love to give for the cause. Last year we raised over $16,000. If we work together, we can easily go way beyond that.”
